The original inhabitants of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have expressed hope that President Muhammadu Buhari will, by his long-awaited ministerial list, wipe their tears of decades of marginalisation, neglect and suffering by giving them a representation at the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Speaking on behalf of the people on Wednesday in Abuja, the Secretary General of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Organisation, Comrade Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf urged President Buhari to write his name in gold by ending years of marginalisation of the people by the Federal Government.

Comrade Yusuf noted that since the nation’s capital was moved to Abuja from Lagos in 1976, the original inhabitants had never been adequately compensated by successive administrations, even as he added that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCDA) has failed the people.
